Joachim Ladefoged (Magnum) and related links The Danish photographer Joachim Ladefoged (1970) studied photography at a small freelance photographers group in Denmark. 'Politiken', a national newspaper in Copenhagen, allowed him to travel internationally, visiting places such as Burma, Tibet, Afghanistan, the United States and most of Europe. In 1997, he had the opportunity through Politiken to go to Albania, to which he would return many times both on assignment and on his own time. His photographs on Albania won a 1st prize in 'People in the News' of World Press Photo in 1998 and were published in a book titled 'Albanians'. In 2000 Ladefoged became a nominee of Magnum Photos.
